iPhone 5S: To Buy or Not To Buy

It's only been a week since the latest iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C was launched by Apple. Apple has declared the iPhone 5S to be its latest and most innovative technology yet, but many critiques and users still cannot see the change.

For those considering spending ฿25,000 on the new iPhone 5s, here are some reasons why you should or shouldn't buy it.

To Buy

1. iPhone 5S works on the new Apple A7 (28nm) chip that uses 64 bit system, making it 40% faster than any iPhone before! This makes playing any hardcore games with over-the-top graphics smooth as silk!

2. A new and improved camera has been installed which changed from f/2.4 to f/2.2 (the lower the f/ value, the more light the camera takes in.) This allows for a better night photography. It also supports a better image stabilization and in-app camera filter.

3. New colours were added! The iPhone 5S is now available in gold and silver/black.

4. It has the all new fingerprints scan system that is the start of a whole different level of security and accessibility.

5. The battery is 10% more long-lasting. (standby 250 hours.)

Not to Buy

1. Not that it's not good or anything, but if you already have an iPhone 5, then there won't be any good from buying iPhone 5S, because it's not any different.

2. The 64-bit system doesn't mean anything at all. Eventhough the 64-bit system makes information processing faster, the applications also has to develop their apps to work on the new platform in order for it to actually become faster.

3. There is only a minor change to the longevity of the battery life. The tests did not really take into consideration all the factors that could decrease battery life. In all, it is relatively the same with the iPhone 5.

4. Fingerprint scan is NOT a necessary security measure. It is not much improvement from entering codes.
